Many in Korea and around the world have been shocked by the sudden relevation that top stars Jang Dong Gun (37) and Ko So Young (37) have been in a relationship for the past two years, with no one knowing about it until now.
While there were many who were in disbelief, there were also others who gave the couple their best wishes and hoped that they would tie the knot soon.
Jang Dong Gun has now addressed his fans through his Adonis fanclub website with a post about his current feelings.
“How are my Adonis family members getting along? It’s been some time since I wrote something. I know that many of you have been caught by surprise by this sudden news. I was actually planning to tell everyone myself.
Just like what everyone knew, Ko So Young and me are long-time acquaintances. We were already friends when we both made our debut (in 1992) and we also filmed a movie together (Love Wind Love Song in 1999).
I am not sure when it started, but we became really close friends. Whenever I met with difficulties, she would be there for me and encourage me. I gradually started falling in love with her because of that.
I am really sorry for not being able to tell you (his fans) before anyone else. The news articles were out of my control. I hope to continue this beautiful relationship with the blessings and encouragement from everyone.
As for my wedding, I will notify everyone first before anyone else.”

Wow! Talk about keeping things under the wraps!
It’s just been revealed that top stars Jang Dong Gun and Ko So Young have been dating for the past 2 years!
In a phone conversation with Newsen, their management agencies confirmed respectively:
“It’s true, Jang Dong Gun and Ko So Young have been dating.”
The two have been dating and building their love for the past two years in secret and it’s amazing that it’s only been discovered now. Reports of them getting married in December have however been dismissed as just rumors.
Jang Dong Gun’s management said through a press release:
“Hello everyone, we are Jang Dong Gun’s management agency. With regards to the news circulating this afternoon, we felt that we have a responsibility to set things right. Jang Dong Gun and Go So Young have maintained good relations ever since acting in the movie, Love Wind Love Song in 1999. Both of them developed good feelings towards each other recently and swiftly became a couple. As for marriage, both of them do not have any plans for it yet, so the media has been wrong on this account. If there are any good news in the near future, we will inform everyone at the earliest possible time.”
On a side note, these two are going to make some very good looking babies should they tie the knot. Kwon Sang Woo and Son Tae Young has got some serious competition.
